Terms of Use
Effective 20 September 2026
What these terms cover
These terms apply when you sign in to a Unitpace deployment. Unitpace is software published and maintained by Justin Salas of Quezon City, Philippines.
Unitpace is not a service you can register for. Each insurance agency unit runs its own separate copy, on hosting accounts belonging to that unit's manager. The deployment you use is operated by your unit manager, who invited you to it and who decides what happens to it.
Any commercial arrangement for a deployment is a separate written agreement between Unitpace and the unit manager. That agreement is not this document, and nothing here creates a payment obligation for you.
Your seat
- You get access by invitation from your unit manager or their admin. There is no other way in.
- Your seat is yours alone. Do not share your sign-in link, code, or connected account with anyone.
- Your seat can be closed at any time — by your unit manager or at their request — for example when you leave the unit. Closing it ends any open session and sign-in stops working straight away. Your past records stay with the unit as part of its own history.
- You may stop using your seat whenever you like, and ask your unit manager to close it.
Using it properly
When you use a deployment, you agree to:
- Record your activity honestly, and not enter counts for work you did not do.
- Treat what you see as confidential. A deployment holds your unit's production figures — premiums, credits, policy numbers and each agent's record against them. Do not copy, publish or pass that information to anyone outside the unit.
- Respect your carrier's own rules about its data. Importing and handling carrier reports is your unit's responsibility, not Unitpace's.
- Leave the system alone technically — no attempts to break in, disrupt it, reach another person's data, or automate access to it.
- Follow the law that applies to you, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
The software itself
Unitpace is licensed to the unit manager for use by their unit, not sold. You may not copy, redistribute, resell or reverse engineer it, and you gain no ownership of it by using it.
The numbers your unit puts in — activity counts, targets, settings, and data imported from carrier reports — belong to the unit, not to Unitpace.
What is not promised
Unitpace is early software, provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, it comes with no warranty of any kind: no promise that it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of faults, or that its figures are fit for any particular purpose.
Do not treat Unitpace as a system of record. It reads from your carrier's reports and from what people type in, and either can be wrong or out of date. Your carrier's own figures govern anything that matters — commissions, contests, qualifications, or employment decisions. Check there before acting.
Unitpace does not give financial, tax, insurance or legal advice, and nothing it displays is such advice.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, Justin Salas is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of a deployment, including lost income, lost opportunity, lost contests or qualifications, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or for wilful misconduct.
Your unit manager operates the deployment and is responsible for the data in it. Disputes about the unit's own numbers, records or decisions are between you and your unit.
Suspension
Access may be suspended or withdrawn where it is necessary to protect the deployment, the data in it, or other people using it — for example on evidence of a breach of these terms. Where practical you will be told why.
Changes
These terms may change as the software does. The effective date at the top of the page changes with them. This page is the current version; the app itself shows no notice when it changes, so check here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from them is submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quezon City.
